Tiles VS. Glass Splashbacks

Tiles have been the popular choice for kitchens and bathrooms for many years, but recently people are starting to see the benefits of using glass splashbacks instead. We've listed some to help you decide whether they'll be right for you:

  1. More durable: often over time tiles may start to become worn, or an individual one may crack/fall off. By this point it's probably impossible to get an exact replacement, leaving you with no choice but to re-tile the whole room. With a glass splashback, we at CreoGlass offer a 10 year guarantee, proving that you will be very happy with the product, and won't need to replace it, for many years. We are also now offering to take down and dispose of old tiles when you replace it with a CreoGlass Splashback!
  2. Easier to clean: with a glass splashback it's a smooth surface that's easy to wipe down on a regular basis, making them little effort to maintain, whereas with tiles, you may often find yourself scrubbing away at the dirt in the corners, or trying to clean to grout (which can even form mould) holding them together.
  3. Reflective surfaces: a glass splashback is one of the easiest ways to brighten up a room; reflections create an optical illusion of extra light and space in a room.
  4. Tailored to you: tiles come in standard sizes, and whilst this makes them easy to pick up in a shop, it does make it difficult when fitting them in a room as you may have to cut some down to meet the corners. With a glass splashback, we can measure it exactly to your needs, taking into account your cabinets, cupboards, extractor fans etc.
  5. The look: splashbacks look a lot more seamless than tiles, which often don't look very integrated in a kitchen. For a modern, sleek finish, we recommend glass splashbacks all the way. With an seemingly infinite amount of colours and designs to choose from, and the guarantee of long lasting practicality and durability, glass really is the way forward for kitchens and bathrooms.
